Phew…

Well. Lets thank the Lord that he is not dead. Shanna (his wife) reported at her myspace earlyer today:
“I’m not quite sure who would start such a sick rumor, even if it was done as a joke. I am happily laying next to my husband who is alive and well and it brings me great pleasure to stop a rumor as horrific as that. It is indeed FALSE.”

Nuff said :)

Travis Barker dead?

Firstly I wanna say that this blog is NOT just for gaming. It’s mostly for gaming, but not only. It’s for music stuff too. Now to the point. Rumours started flowing out that the drummer Travis Barker from the fantastic ex-band Blink 182 is dead. It’s said that he was found dead in his garage. Pray that this is not true and that it’s just some sick kid that messes around. Because he is in my eyes one of the best drummer I’ve ever heard. I’ll post more when I find out the truth.

Nightwish - Dark Passion Play: Amaranth

Amaranth - Music

Long has it been since the finnish symphonic power-metal band Nightwish has released something this beautiful. Help me. I just can’t stop listening to this lovely song. In it, their new singer Anette Olzon from Sweden performs. Check it out.

I WANT WARHAWK!

This game looks AWESOME! It may be kinda laim that there’s NO singleplayer WHATSOEVER in it… for some. But personally, I think that nothing beats a good ‘ol multiplayer game. Kinda like Battlefield 2. It’s soon out, and I NEED this game.

Demos

This is a preview of the demos availible on the PS Network at the moment. Atleast the 3 newest ones.

HEAVENLY SWORD:

This demo was awesome. I kicked ass from the first plattform to the third. Jeah. It was only 3 playable plattforms. And that sucked, in my opinion. The enemies was kinda difficult to pwn, but then again, it was too short. Allmost too short to even be called a demo! But it was fun.

GHOST RECON: ADVANCED WARFIGHTER 2:

DAMN! That was fun! Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 is a sequel to the 3rd person best-selling shooter to Xbox 360. It was originally for the 360, but then it got ported to the PS3. And it owns. Atleast the demo does, anyway. It kinda reminds me a bit of Gears of War.

THE DARKNESS:

Oh, how I just LOOOOVE to play demon. You gotta admit that eating hearts is rad. You play as Jackie Estacado, a wielder of The Darkness, a power that makes you capable of transforming into a demon. And it’s as they say. With great power comes great fucking fun.

Flashback: Freedom Fighters

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Believe it or not, this game is still awesome. I know it’s people out there that just can’t stand those old games because of the assy graphics, but hey. Freedom Fighters for PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC is fabulous. This game still beats me. You play as the plumber Chris, on a mission to fix Isabella Angelina’s destroyed sink (OH MY GOD!). Then, all of a sudden the soviets invade New York. You manage to escape, while your plumber-brother Troy gets kidnapped. And from there on, the story evolves into an adventure of taking back your country, and your freedom. It’s a squad-based actionpacked multiplayer-game that just is plain genious. I get that special feeling of nationalism when I play this game. And when Chris screams ”THEY WILL NOT TAKE OUR FREEDOM!” on national TV, I get goosebumps.

Play Freedom Fighters. It’s pro.

Incomming…

Ok, so I guess I can’t post as much shit as I normally would now, because I’m going on holiday soon. But I just want you to know that I have bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and as soon as I’ve beaten the game, you will have a nice review on it. Oh, and I will post some flashbacks too. You know…  those great games that had such a great deal of influence on our childhoods (not really).

 See ya, suckers!

Resistance: Fall of Man Review

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It’s the summer holidays, and I’m just sitting here. It’s booooring. Therefore, I took the time to review Resistance: Fall of Man. First off, I wanna say that the scores I give goes from 1-6 where 1 is the worst. Secondly, all these game reviews are my personal opinions. You may think the game is the best ever, but I can still say it sucks ass. Let the review begin!

~RESISTANCE: FALL OF MAN (PS3, developed by Insomniac Games)~

Jeah, I gotta say it looked great at first. I mean… you’re kicking alien ass in the 1950’s! AWESOME! Not really, but as much as I was disappointed, the game was good enough. The game’s timeline is set in an alternate universe where WWII didn’t happen. In stead, a virus spreads throughout Russia and on to the rest of the world. This virus mutates people and makes them Chimeran, aliens torturing and killing all in it’s way. So what do you gotta do? Kick their ass! You play as Sgt. Nathan Hale of the U.S. Army 3rd Ranger Regiment. You are American, and you have been assigned on a mission to drive the Chimeran threat out of Britain. But only a pair of minutes after deploying in G.B, all of your mates gets wiped out! So, you’re on your own…

The first thing I’m picking on with this game, is that it’s hard. You have 4 life bars, and that’s it. Well, it regenerates after some time covering, but that’s only if you haven’t lost a whole bar. If you loose one whole bar, you gotta find a new one! And that’s a pain in the ass. By playing this game a couple of hours, it gets boring. What are you doing ALL the time? Killing, killing, killing, killing, driving, killing, killing and killing. And the Chimera can stand a hell of a lot bullets, too! Damn, I’m changing more magazines in this game than im breathing oxygen in real life! And that’s FUCKING TRUE!

I gotta say that the graphics in this game are lame. They aren’t sucky, it’s just that I think PS3 can do better than this! And it can too, because R:FoM are not using optimal graphics. It’s good that the multiplaying feature is fun. It is. It’s not the best multiplaying experience I’ve ever had, but it’s fun. I love blowing my brother’s head off in this game. It rocks. It’s also possible to play in cooperative mode, too. And the online feature is just awesome. Up to 40 players can join on one map. And THAT, is pure genious. :D

So after all, I beat the game. The last thing you do is destroying a Chimeran tower. It was boring and hard, but I’m glad I did it. At certain points it was a bit fun. But overall, the game was disappointing and the gameplay was pretty much just mediocre. Therefore, I give this game a score of:

-3-

Thursday, June 28, 2007

Well…

Yeah, everybody. Second post. It’s late for me now, and I’m looking around at some games I think looks awesome. There’s plenty of good looking gaming material out soon, and what can I do? Wait. And let me tell you, it sucks mayor balls. I bought myself a PS3 not too long ago, and the only game I’ve bought is Resistance: Fall of Man. In my opinion, the game was boring. I mean, it was awesome blowing dudes up at first but then I thought: is this all there is to it?

Anyways: as I looked around, I saw all these GENIOUS looking games, which I will post a little somethingsomething about later on =) The first game I will review is going to be the next game I buy. That will probably be Transformers: The Game or Lair.

So all I wanted to say is: be prepared for some fresh blogposts in the near future :)

Peace Out ;)

Army of Two (Xbox360, PS3)
